Something old, Something new, Something borrowed...

    These are some of my dad’s first day cover which I nicked from his cabinet. Well, I did ask for his permission when I saw the album was all dusty. He has stopped collecting the first day cover for quite a while now. I can’t quite recall the last time my dad ever bought one again and why he stopped doing so. I guess with the smart phone age, no one really write letters thus stamps themselves somehow cease of its relevance. Although looking at the specially issued stamps and envelopes, I noticed what the generation of information age may be missing out; the ability to hold such beautifully designed stamps in their hands. In this day and age, everything is sent out either via the smart phones or computers. Sure, you see beautiful photos at the tip of your fingers, but you can’t really flick them through unlike those days.
